BC LIVING LAB

Helping BC farmers contribute to climate change mitigation while improving the productivity and ecological benefits of farmland for future generations.

The BC Living Lab is a collaborative project being undertaken by IAF and key partners in the BC agriculture sector.

This work is supported through funding from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s (AAFC) Agricultural Climate Solutions (ACS) – Living Labs program. ACS supports the integration of scientific research and farming operations, with the goal of developing and increasing the adoption of effective practices and technologies that help farmers contribute to climate change mitigation and improve the natural environment.

Goals

Develop climate change-friendly practices that farmers and ranchers are able and willing to adopt.

Help bridge the gap between the research community and BC agriculture producers.

Create opportunities for different agricultural commodities to solve problems together.
